Yesterday at the Yanceyville, NC store, I had a particularly notable checkout experience. The lady was speedy and efficient but still gentle with the fruits and vegetables when she packed them into bags. I appreciate expediency and cashier competence!

Today, while buying hamburger buns, the pack I picked up had a spot of mould; I reported it to an associate, I was thanked, and each group was pulled from the shelf and checked. I have had to return an item today, and treated very well. ALWAYS lovely and easy to talk to. The store is clean—well-stocked and easy-to-find items. I visit about five times a week. Yes, this is my hometown food lion.

I live in a small town, and I occasionally shop at this Food Lion or another one near my home. One of the things I love about this location Is that it’s always calm, and the people are always so lovely. Today, I was greeted by several friendly employees. The lady at check out was so sweet. She had just begun ringing out my groceries, and I was talking when the store manager interrupted and fussed her out in front of me for taking too long to check me out. She was rude and incredibly unprofessional. I couldn’t believe she berated her staff like she did in front of me. It was also really unnecessary as there was no one behind me. I fear that with management like this, This store will lose the friendly employees who go out of their way to treat people kindly like they do here. The store was not busy, and it was during a slow time of day. It was pretty cruel.

I enjoy shopping at Food Lion. I drive an extra 10 minutes to shop in a safer area. Most of the employees are pleasant, friendly and polite. They assist you with questions or direct you to an item you want. I always use the self-check-out if available. Tonight, the self-check-out cashier could have been more polite and friendly. I needed assistance with a problem (multiple charges on one item). He told me to ignore the extra expense and gave me a hard time. As I was leaving the check-out lane, I thanked him for his help, but he ignored me and kept walking away. He was insulting!!! I usually don’t let rude people bother me, but he made me think about his actions and attitude all the way home. I had a very unpleasant drive home on the highway. I will remember him and avoid any direct contact and assistance from him in the future.

I shop at my local Food Lion in Springfield, Georgia, at least 2x a week. I just had a problem today. I had the rudest cashier, #0223. I asked if I could give him my phone number for my rewards, and he said, “You can do it yourself.” there was no one in line behind me, and I asked him if he could put the bags in my cart as I had hand surgery and my hand was sore, and he told me that was not his job. He asked to speak to his manager and was told she was at lunch; it was 2:30 p.m. Not a happy shopper today.

The store was clean, and all the personnel were excellent and very helpful. Everything I needed from the store was in stock.

Outstanding check-out service from Joe. He took extra time to help me use an unfamiliar pay card to find the correct scanner.

In the past six months, I became a Food Lion customer. Shopping at Food Lion is a pleasant experience. I have found the store where I shop to be clean and open at hours convenient to my schedule, and the staff are professional, attentive, and extremely accommodating. I am impressed with the quality of the produce and the variety of products. I can readily find the products I prefer and occasionally are sold at a cost-saving price. The Deli department offers quality meats and cheeses. In addition, the baked goods are impressive. As of today, I have saved $109.83.

I frequently visit Food Lion store#0822. I was there on 11/14, ticket#0150. I want to praise cashier 0138. Her name is Tiki. She was very polite, fast and professional. She rang and bagged my groceries alone. Other employees were standing nearby talking, but no one helped her. She is good at her job and deserves to be recognized. I will check with her in the future. Sarah meek allowed the person in front of me to steal pumpkins and chilli. She said she was the manager and let him go, saying she dated him.

Birchwood Food Lion. Excellent, helpful employee. Over the last couple of months, the employees have been stocking shelves, making it challenging to shop—large carts stocked with merchandise blocking shelves. More than two customers can’t get down one idle. I tried shopping again this weekend around noon, and I had the same experience. Suggestion: When trucks deliver merchandise, allow non-perishable items to be stocked during peak hours, from 6 am to noon. A better suggestion is to stock shelves from 7 pm till they are finished.

One checkout is open, but no employee is helping self-checkout. Self-checkout of bags. Employees are standing around doing nothing and having conversations. “I DO NOT DO SELF CHECKOUT”!!! I did it today since 20+ people were waiting for checkout, of which more than half were waiting for service checkout. I may not be returning to this store for a long time due to consistent issues with checkout, pallets of stock on the floor throughout the entire day, stockers on aisles with stock left on the floor along with carts of stock and shopping carts of trash, and food lion shoppers with oversized carts constantly getting in the way. I have even mentioned the reduced selection of Food Lion brand products available in store or the prices.

I went to Food Lion to pick up a couple of items. It was easy, and I used the self-checkout. No Issues and no problem.
